The Protocol & Privacy

Q: What is the "AT Protocol" I keep hearing about? A: Think of it as the open-air frequency we all fly on. It’s the same decentralized foundation used by Bluesky. It means you own your identity and can move between servers without losing your "feathers" (followers/data).

Q: Is my data actually staying in Canada? A: Affirmative. Gander has partnered with ThinkOn (Toronto) for sovereign Canadian-based platform hosting. Unlike other platforms, your data doesn't take a "trip down south".

The Nest (BETA & Access)

Q: When is the official launch? A: We are currently in the Expanded Beta phase as of Q1 2026. The team is refining video features and onboarding the early access program members.

Q: How do I secure my @username? A: Early supporters who signed up for updates get priority access to register their handles before public registration opens.

Investor & Community

Q: Who is behind Gander? A: A crew of Canadians with backgrounds in civic tech, security, and media ethics. The leadership includes Ben Waldman (CEO), Jennifer Mitchell (COO), and Jeff Wood (CTO).

Q: Can I still invest? A: The initial FrontFundr equity crowdfunding campaign was scheduled to close in early 2026. Check the main site for current "Impact Investment" opportunities.
